Sinopsis:
- Documental experimental centrado en un día en la vida de los trabajadores de la ciudad, con montaje de secuencias repetidas para enfatizar la monotonía del trabajo rutinario en la oficina. Film mudo, aunque con un noticiario de radio como parte de la banda sonora.
En «Activism, Modernism, and the Avant-Garde» de Hans Richter se escribió:In London Richter shot a documentary called Everyday, with Eisenstein playing the part of an English bobby. The theme of Everyday is the monotony of daily life. It poses very basic questions about the quality of life under capitalism. The bobby’s life is repetitive, hectic, confusing, and exhausting. Like many of Richter’s earlier films, it is political criticism cloaked in humor. Although Everyday was not finished until 1968, it is typical of Richter’s revolutionary work. Similar to his other work from the twenties and thirties, Everyday posits that there is nothing more subversive than puzzling over life, since it is critical thinking that leads to change.
